I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded lands of the Kaurna people and that sovereignty has never been ceded. I acknowledge that I benefit from my place as a settler on uninvited land. I pay my respect to all Elders past, present and emerging and I recognise the importance in positioning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices at the centre in all that I, and all of us do in the resistance against colonization and capitalism.

I am an artist who was born and lives on unceded Kaurna Yarta (so-called Adelaide). My practice has taken on multiple formats, including performance work, experimental video, paper collage, abstract painting, drawing, assemblages/installation and writing.

My processes stem from a personal place, one that rejects the linear mentality for making art, and seeks to de-centre the gallery as the primary model for consuming art. I attempt to focus on prioritizing process over final products. This may mean that artworks take multiple attempts and iterations to come into its final form, if at all.

I am concerned with the rise in fascism in countries globally, including so-called Australia. My concepts revolve around my own personal, individual and lived experiences with capitalism and how to resolve this fear.

In my practice I center the role I play as a child of migrants to so-called Australia and my experiences with upholding family traditions alongside resistance to the state.
